Netscape Messenger Settings

Please note that the OzComm setup disk can setup your Netscape Messenger Email Account if it is installed at the time you ran your disk. It depends on the version you have. Do not run the disk again in an effort to setup the Messenger Email Account. Follow these steps.

SETUP WIZARD
The first time you run Messenger Email a wizard will automatically run to help you.

The first setting screen will asked for the following:
Your Name: Enter your regular Name. Not user name or login name.
Email Address: username@ozarkisp.net
Outgoing Mail (SMTP): ozarkisp.net

The second screen will ask for the following:
Mail Server Username: username@ozarkisp.net
Incoming Mail Server: ozarkisp.net
Mail Server type is POP3

The next screen is for the News Server.
You can ignore news server settings.

Click Finish and the program is nearly set up. You now need to add the Reply to Address. Follow the next steps to achieve this.

MESSENGER SETTINGS
Start Netscape, go to Edit/Mail and Newsgroup Account Settings. The settings should be set as follows. Be sure to substitute your user name or login name where you see example.

The rest of the settings can be left at their default. You can set your News Server up if you like. The News Server is "news.ozarkisp.net".
